A selection of top trades, interesting graphs and a few comments:
I liked this one of Coq Hardie (2/7f 3.00pm Kelso 20/5/09) - which was a faller. I didn't have the benefit of TV or radio commentary on this race - but looking at the
market the price 'bounced' a few times in a major way before the market decided it could not win. This sometimes occurs because people identify the wrong horse as the faller
(indeed commentators get it wrong too) or because a horse has stumbled and people aren't sure
if it is actually going to fall or not - effectively people end up betting on the latter! It can be fun to see what you can take from a market graph.
Nearly 1000.0! Great effort by Newmarket Story here. The price shot out to 660/1 in running, only for the 'impossible'
to happen - as the horse came back to win. I love it when this happens. You always wonder how much people might have lost or won - even to small stakes!
