Trading on Betfair's Sports Betting Exchange....Follow the highs and lows of a punter....Learn more about betting and trading....

I started on the exchanges with a company called Flutter. I liked them actually, but it wasn't long before Betfair took them over (it may have actually been referred to as a 'merger' at the time). I seem to remember that Flutter actually had better liquidity than Betfair at the time - perhaps that's why Betfair wanted them! Anyway, the concept began to take off and years later liquidity has filled the markets and most of us can't now imagine how we survived before the
betting exchanges were born.

I used to work as an engineer. I worked all over the place in the UK, the States, and South Africa - I then built up a successful web business before moving onto the exchanges full time.

I have always been a bettor on the exchanges - in the main UK horse racing. I have at times dabbled in trading and if I was single and living in a small flat, then I could probably live off it! However, I have never really been able to make it pay in a major way. Now with the Betfair premium charge in place I think betting is the way forward. Having said that, I still trade in certain circumstances.

Over the coming months I hope to have a bit of fun on the blog / home page. I'll discuss some betting and trading concepts and highlight some unusual activity.

I may occasionally put up some P & L to illustrate what can be achieved but posting your profits isn't always the best thing to do. For three reasons and probably more!

1. It can change people's perception of you.

2. It can be construed as vulgar and most of us believe our earning should be kept private!

3. It's pretty pointless now anyway because there is some fun software out there that lets you generate your own P & L account information in the Betfair style - so noone knows if you are being truthful!

Enjoy the site!
